 An avid gardener and sculptor, Bradley Sabin finds inspiration through the nature around him. He describes his work as a metaphorical equation to the care and time, which is needed to have a healthy garden to human relationships that also require nurturing and protecting to flourish. Unlike other ceramicists, he works within the natural structure of exhibition spaces, tying these architectural environments into his complex and organic installations. Sabin’s well-honed technique and use of symbolic imagery explores themes of fecundity and fragility as well as strength and protection and emulation of the sublime.Sabin has exhibited his ceramic installations in a number of spaces since 1994, including Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Baton Rouge Gallery, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Portland Center for Contemporary Craft, Portland, Oregon, Lincoln Arts, Lincoln, California, Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, LA, Callan Contemporary, New Orleans and Voltz Clarke Gallery, New York.
